Commercialized Christmas

Today is Christmas. The day Christ was born, or so we are all told to believe. What many people don't realize, is that Christmas is actually an amalgamation of many different heathen religions.

Anyways, I digress. My problem with Christmas is not with the religious side of it, but with the commercial side of it. Christmas used to be about getting together with family and sharing good tidings. Now it is has mutated into some sort of Super-Mega-Commercialized-Monster holiday. All of these companies and telling us to buy or else the other people won't like us. We are conditioned to believe and feel like we deserve gifts at this time because it's Christmas and that's what you do. If you don't do it, then people will think you don't appreciate them or think you don't love them.

I think one of the most important things during the holidays, is to just be with people you love and to tell that them you love them. If you don't get to do that often, then make sure you do it during the holidays.
